The Oro Valley Swim Team has been one of the premier teams in Tucson for over twenty years.  During this time, the team has gone by several names such as the Southern Arizona Marlins, Northwest Aquatics, Dorado Gold and Pusch Ridge Swim Team.  Despite the many names, the team has consistently been the home of quality people and amazing swimmers.

Sportsmanship, commitment, integrity, and education were important parts of team culture long before any of current coaches even knew how to swim.  These core values have remained with the team and make it natural for like-minded swimmers and families to join and stay with our team. Our swimmers are often members of organizations such as National Honor Society, Scouting, as well as other church, youth, or community service groups.

Our swimmers also tend to excel academically.  We have had dozens of swimmers recognized as Academic All-Americans.  Oro Valley Swim Team swimmers graduate from high school with honors on a yearly basis and we’ve even had a few valedictorians. Some of our former swimmers have also gone on to graduate from prestigious colleges and universities such as Stanford, MIT, the Air Force Academy, West Point, and even Ivy League schools such as Brown and Columbia University.  Over thirty former Oro Valley Swim Team swimmers have gone on to compete collegiately, earning 23 NCAA All-American honors.  Our team has also been the home of numerous State Champions, eleven National Qualifiers, two Olympic Trials Qualifiers, and even an NCAA Champion.
