Swim School Program Information

Welcome

Welcome to the Gators Swim School!
Our Swim School program helps swimmers build strong technique, endurance, and training habits in a fun and supportive environment. The Swim School is the starting point of the Gators pathway, preparing athletes for competitive swimming in the Gators Swim Club.

When swimmers reach Silver and Gold levels, they transition into the Swim Club to begin competitive training.

Program Structure

  • Development Groups have moved into the Swim School Stream.

  • Competitive Groups remain part of the Swim Club Stream.

Each Swim School level is offered as Group A and Group B — the same level, but scheduled on different days. Families can select whichever group best fits their schedule.

Term Structure

The Swim School runs in 3-month terms:

  • Term 1: October – December

  • Term 2: January – March

  • Term 3: April – June

Swimmers must register separately for each term.

Registration Dates (Term 1)

  • Current Members: Wednesday, September 10, 2025

  • New Members: Friday, September 12, 2025

  •

Note: New members who register during the current members-only period will be removed from the list.
Current members are swimmers registered in the 2024–2025 Winter Program. Swimmers from the summer clinic or earlier seasons are not considered current members.

Fees

  • One-time Swim School Membership Fee: $120 (non-refundable); includes a swim cap and T-shirt.

  • One-time Swim BC Registration Fee: $52 (non-refundable, valid September – August; covers summer clinic if registered).

  • Training Fee: Charged per term. Term 1 fee is $425.00

Volunteer Hours

Parent volunteer hours are no longer mandatory.
Families who help at time trials or development meets will receive a $25 credit per swimmer per term, applied to the next term’s fees or future swim meet fees.

Progress Tracking

  • Each swimmer receives a report card at the end of each term showing progress and skills completed.

  • Time trials are scheduled at the end of each term.

  • Youth B, Alligator, and Crocodile swimmers participate in a development meet each term.
