CDSC Miles Schootman Invitational Recap
By Coach Daniel,
Last weekend, from January 19 to January 21, Gators swimmers were part of the Miles Schootman Invitational swim meet. The meet was hosted by Canadian Dolphins Swim Club at the Vancouver Aquatic Center, and as usual these were three long days of racing for our gator athletes.
Friday began with the 800 and 1500 events, on which Elite gators participate. Later that day, Senior and Junior swimmers join the group to complete the session with 100 BK, 400 IM and 200 FL.
Saturday morning was the third session of the meet, and with the weekend the total of 350 swimmers from all the clubs made the main pool roar of excitement. Gator’s athletes did a good work, staying on top of their times on common events, but also showing their ability to race on new events. Our Saturday was a long session but it did not disappoint giving our swimmers results that add to their season.
