West Coast Open Recap

A three day swim meet was hosted by Richmond Rapids from May 3rd to May 5th at Watermania. For some of our swimmers this was their first Long Course swim meet, while some others used their expertise to swim over the competition. 

Around 350 swimmers split three days of competition in two big sessions. Mornings were swam by 14 & Over swimmers while evening sessions corresponded to the 13 & Under athletes. 

Great effort was displayed by both age groups. Friday showed swimmers were able to swim completely different events, adjusting themselves to 400’s, 100’s and 50’s meters races. 

Saturday was exciting, as many swimmers beat their short course times. On top of this, 13&U swimmers got a new divisional standards while may other events reminded very close to be qualified. 

Last day of the swim meet gave Gators a new divisional standard within the 14&O age group. Evening session was highlighted by the great performance of the 13&U swimmers who kept getting new personal best times. 

We look forward to achieve new goals to close strong our 2023-2024 season.
