Winskill Dolphin LMR Recap

Head Coach Anchie

By Coach Daniel,

Season first meet showed a good start for our club. Around 50 gator swimmers from our competitive groups (Junior, Senior and Elite) participated at the Winskill Dolphin Meet on October 26th and 27th.

The swim meet was hosted at Watermania and it was developed through four sessions. Morning sessions were designated for 12&U swimmers while evening sessions were swum by the 13&O athletes.

First day, new divisionals

Saturday October 27th was a big start for the young swimmers. Our 12&U athletes performed over the expectations. Most of the swimmers swam in good standards. During that morning Gators were able to get their first divisional and provincial standards.

Evening session began with the 200 IM and it was long before the first divisional standards were achieved our swimmers. The evening swimmers also performed up to standards while dropping their times race after race. The evening close with a busy 400 FR event for our swimmers.

Owning the last event

After a good first day of racing, Sunday began with the 400 IM. Our young swimmers kept the effort and showed their skills on different events, moving closer to qualify additional divisional standards.

For the last part of the meet, Senior and Elite swimmers close the participation of our club with good times and effort.  Obtaining four more new qualified events. During the evening swimmers achieved new personal best times. The swim team couldn’t close its participation better, by being the only ones to swim the 1500.

Without a doubt Gators swimmers showed that they were ready to perform, setting a great start to the season. We look forward to the upcoming meets and see our swimmer’s success.
