Chena 12&under and Distance Meet Recap
By Coach Hope,
In one of the first meets of 2025, the Juniors, Gold, and Silver members competed in the Chena 12 & under meet and achieved fantastic results.
On Saturday, they competed in 100 IM, 50 free, 100 free, 50 fly, 100 fly, and the 200 mixed IM relay. Best times were seen all across the board, with multiple swimmers achieving and approaching divisional qualification times. The relays were especially outstanding due to the heightened team spirit, allowing Gators to win a majority of the relay heats.
After beginning the 2025 racing season with a great start, Gators continued to shine in the events of Sunday, which included 200 IM, 50 back, 100 back, 50 breast, 100 breast, and the 200 mixed freestyle relay. With great dedication and focus from all swimmers, more divisional standards were met.
Following the morning sessions of Saturday and Sunday, swimmers also competed in the Chena distance meet in the afternoon sessions. Despite racing for the whole morning, the swimmers tackled their event, 400 free and 400 IM, with great tenacity and all achieved best times.
Overall, this was a powerful start of 2025 for Gators, great work everyone!
Go Gators!
