2025 CDSC Miles Schootman Invitational Recap

Head Coach Anchie

By Coach Daniel,

Weeks into the new year, our Gator athletes returned to competition at the CDSC Miles Schootman swim meet.

Hosted by the Canadian Dolphins, the Vancouver Aquatic Centre was home to 400 swimmers from 12 teams.

Three long days of competition demonstrated that speed and endurance are the only required elements to succeed. Our athletes also showed patience and mental strength to manage their energy during a long swim meet.

There was no better way to begin a 3-day swim meet.

Our swimmers and relay teams were great in the morning and evening sessions. The first day gave the Gators three new divisional standards across the most challenging races (800 FR, 1500 FR, and 200 FL).

This beginning sparked the day-long session on Jan 25 and Jan 26.

Along with the first-day results, team spirit was always present. With energy, our swimmers kept adding themselves to the divisional roster and setting personal best times and new club records. Within sessions 3 and 4 of the swim meet, Swimmers add Four divisional standards and three club records.

On Sunday, the team was ready to close their participation at the Miles Schootman CDSC meet. With Six more events and one club record, the last two sessions were not short of good results, joy, and team spirit.

This was a great start of 2025 for Gators swimmers.
