The 2025 Winter Provincial Championships brought together more than 650 athletes from over 45 teams. Uma, Sophie, Ethan, Jaden, Freddy, Ryan and Steven representing the Gators with pride, delivered excellent performances across the 4 days competition.

On the first day, Ethan demonstrated incredible resilience, overcoming sickness to qualify for the 200 breast final, where he placed 7th. Jaden stood on the podium with a bronze medal in the 50 free and set a new club record for 15-16 boys long course 50 free with a time of 24.72. Uma and Sophie also performed strongly in the 100 fly, achieving long-course personal bests.

On Friday, the team competed in the 50fly, 100 back, and 200 free. Jaden continued to demonstrate his sprinting prowess, and secured 7th place in the 50 fly, breaking another club record with a time of 26.79. Additionally, Jaden and Uma qualified for the 17 & Over provincial standards.

On Saturday, Uma raced 3 tough events with 200fly and 1500 free. She overcame the fatigue and gained valuable long-course distance swim experience. Ethan raced hard in the 100m breaststroke final, finishing in 5th place and setting a new club record of 11-12 boys 50breast with a time of 1:21.05.

On the last day, the team was re-energized. Steven competed in a swim-off for the 50 breast and claimed the victory. Meanwhile, Ethan improved his best time in the 50 breast by a full second, setting a new 11-12 boys long course club record of 37.35. The boys’ relay team also performed well, improving their personal best times while showcasing great team spirit.
