PSW Spring Invitational Recap

Head Coach Anchie

By Coach Daniel,

Gators’ athletes went back into racing mode on April 12 and 13. After attending PSW spring invitational at Grandview heights aquatic centre, Junior and Senior groups went back in action to begin the second cycle of the season.

After having a well-deserved week off during spring break, swimmers came back energized and ready to do their best. During the two-day (three session) meet, eighty-four (84) new personal best times were achieved.

Saturday morning session had a great start as the team started with new 100 FR and 100 FL divisionals. It was a round morning session, as best times began to appear. The 800 FR races, by the end of the session, gave the team another divisional standard.

Evening session did not disappoint and show our swimmers that effort will pay off. During this session 200 FR gave the club its third divisional of the day. The team couldn’t close the day better as a new club record and divisional standard on 50 BK was obtained.

Sunday session was exciting and all of the swimmers were ready to keep the performance of previous day. During this session personal best times were the common factor. Sunday also allowed the team to celebrate a new divisional standard in the 50 BR

Team will look forward for the upcoming long course swim meets in May and expanding its divisional and provincial rosters for summer.
