The Swim BC Summer Provincial Championships were held from July 17 to 20, bringing together over 650 swimmers from 39 teams across the province. Our club proudly sent Uma Sukkau, Jaden Leung, Freddy Ding, Steven Ge, Ryan Man and Joshua Chan, who delivered exceptional performances, set multiple new club records and gained valuable experience racing in a highly competitive field.
 
Meet Highlights:
Jaden Leung had an outstanding meet, earning a 3rd place finish in the 50m Freestyle with a time of 24.51. This swim not only set a new club record in the 15–16 and Open Boys categories but also qualified him for the Swimming Canada Trials.
In total, Jaden set four new club records and had the finals races:
  •  50m Freestyle (LC): 24.51 – 3rd place
  • 100m Freestyle (LC): 54.31 – 5th place
  • 200m Freestyle (LC): 2:01.87 – 10th place 
  • 50m Butterfly (LC): 26.52 – 4th place
Uma Sukkau delivered strong performances in her butterfly events, placing 6th in the 200m Butterfly and setting two new club records in the 17 & Over Girls category:
  • 100m Butterfly (LC): 1:08.75
  • 200m Butterfly (LC): 2:30.50
Joshua Chan also achieving personal best times in all his long course events and showing steady improvement throughout the competition. The boys' relay team, Freddy, Ryan, Steven, and Jaden, competed in three relays, demonstrating strong teamwork and achieving new best times in each relay.
 
We are proud of all our swimmers for their hard work, determination, and team spirit. Competing against the best in the province, they represented the club with excellence. Congratulations to everyone on a successful meet!
