WDSC Spookarama Recap

Head Coach Anchie

By Coach Daniel,

The racing weekends were back and our club was ready to perform. During October 25 and 26, Gators swimmers attended the WDSC Spookarama at Watermania.

The weekend was divided in four sessions, during the morning our younger swimmers lead our team presence. Evening sessions on the other side, were the scenario for our most experienced athletes.

Day 1

Young Gators went back to racing mode. They took no time to reach new divisional standards and a new club record. Junior, Junior elite and Senior swimmers proudly represent the club. While senior and junior elite swimmers pick right where they left last season, junior swimmers experienced a new level of racing.

As the swim meet hit midday, before their events began, our most experienced swimmers demonstrated their support to the young talent by cheering for them during the 4x50 Relay sessions.

Our Elite, Senior and Youth Groups were able to keep the morning momentum and they were also able to add new standards for the season

The first day showed us the great effort our athletes are putting through the first months of the season and the desire they have to reach further

Day 2

Morning swimmers reconnect with a successful day 1 and kept achieving best times through the meet. The swim meet began with a strong 400 IM from our athletes. The performance of our swimmers was strong in and out of the pool as they showed up support through the whole session.

The closure of the swim meet was exciting on different races and the relays. Our most experienced swimmers show up the strength on their best strokes and in some challenging races.

With the closure of the session our provincial roster for the season adds its first two swimmers. While nine other swimmers beat the new BC standards to add themselves to the divisional roster.

The swim meet was a great performance by our swimmer and we can foresee the results they will achieve deeper in the season.
