2026 CDSC Miles Schootman recap

Head Coach Anchie

By Coach Daniel,

As our season moves closer to its first half our swimmers keep preparing themselves. From Jan 16 to Jan 19 our Senior and Youth A swimmers were part of the 2026 CDSC Miles Schootman, at Vancouver Aquatic Center.

During the six sessions (morning and evening session each day) our athletes were able to achieve best times all around and reconnect with the racing spirit.

Distance session on Friday morning game the club a good start, as our swimmers did their best on the 1500 FR. By Friday evening more swimmers join the meet to swim two more events within 100 BK, 200 FL and 400 IM. The day end up with best times and a strong beginning for the meet.

Saturday morning brought all the 20 swimmers selected to be in the roster for this swim meet. Morning session events were 200 BR, 200 FR, 100 IM and 50 BK. After a short break, the evening session challenged the gator swimmers with 200 BK, 100 FR and 50 BR. Through the day multiple best times were achieved by our athletes.

Sunday was the ultimate test for our swimmers, after two long days the mentality of our swimmers kept them going and hitting their best performances. A long 12 hour day was ahead, and morning events were 200 IM, 100 FL and 50 FR. Just an hour after the AM session swimmers came back to the pool to face the 400 FR, 100 BR and 50 FL.

The last session close strong as Sam Halton added a new divisional event to his season with the 100 BR.

Our athletes had a strong swimming and mental performance, and it was great to see them back racing.

January will be busy for the team and the upcoming weekends, Elite, Senior, Junior, Gold, and silver groups will have participation on different meets.
