We will hold make-up days (for the 4th of July and Labor Day) on Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24. (No practice on Thursday, July 4 and Monday, September 2)
This Introductory swim program prepares children 5-8 years old for the Beach Cities Swimming Pre-Competitive program. Our effective method of instruction emphasizes developing and strengthening water survival skills that seamlessly progress into proper stroke technique, providing efficient advancement and successful results. Starting with children as young as 5 years old who are already comfortable in the water.
Details:
- Classes run Monday through Thursday
- 30 minutes classes
- 3:30 - 4:00 PM
- 4 practices offered per week; attendance of at least 3 practices strongly recommended; must attend at least 2 practices every week to hold spot
- We offer quality technical swim instruction with highly experienced competitve coaches
- Location: El Segundo Wiseburn Aquatics Center- 2240 E Grand Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245
Enrollment Requirements:
- Not fearful of water: can submerge face and blow nose bubbles, enter pool without hesitation, and float in a horizontal postion on back and stomach
- Ages 5-8
- An in-person evaluation is required to register
Equipment Requirements: (can all be purchased at The Swim Guy located at 15900 Inglewood Ave., Lawndale, CA 90260- Please mention Beach Cities Swimming when purchasing equipment)
- Beach Cities Swimming swim cap, swim goggles, kick board, and fins.
