Greg Bisheff - Club Director and Head Coach

Greg has been with the Waves since 2012. After swimming with for Irvine Novaquatics for 6 years, Greg graduated from Woodbridge High School in Irvine and swam at UC San Diego. Greg has been coaching for over 25 years and is also the Aquatics Director and Head Coach at Viewpoint School.

Stefan Bechkovski

Stefan is in his 4th year with the Waves after 5 years with Westside Aquatics. Stefan's competitive career included swimming for Technical University Sofia Bulgaria and the Lokomtovi Plovdiv Sport Club in Bulgaria. He brings a a wealth of experience teaching swimmers of all ages and will be working with our Developmental Program.

Niki Behzadi

Niki is in her 5th year with the Waves. She is an instrumental part of our Developmental Program where she works with the Tadpoles, Minnows, Sharks, and Jr Waves.

Eliot Cohen

Eliot is in his 5th year with the Waves. Eliot's swimming career began when he was 13 years old. He swam for Bayside H.S., a perpetual N.Y.C. Championship Team, and the Flushing Flyers, a YMCA team. Eliot was a New York City and New York State champion in middle-distance events, including the 200-yard butterfly and the 400 Individual Medley 400-yard freestyle, setting numerous pool records. In college, Eliot swam for the Fordham Rams and made appearances at the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale and invitational meets.

Brandi Michel

Brandi has been with the Waves for over 6 years and brings a wealth of experience coaching swimming and is currently the owner of the Revolution Swim School and Head Coach of the Yula High School Swim Team. Brandi has coached swimmers of all ages ranging from Mommy and Me classes to a coaching a 40 member swim team. 

Jax Tatro

Coach Jax grew up in Topanga Canyon. She started swimming competitively at age 8 and swam for Pali High & the Palisades YMCA. Jax began swimming in open water events about 15 years ago and has completed many marathon swims all over the country. Some notable swims include swimming the width of Lake Tahoe and the Anacapa Island channel crossing. Jax has over 15 years experience as a private swim instructor for pool and open water training, working with all levels. She has been a swim coach since 2019 working with high school and club teams in Los Angeles. Jax is also a beekeeper and an avid hiker. She loves to travel…especially if there are places to swim! Jax coaches the Jr Waves and is also a coach of the Viewpoint Swim Teams.
