Finals, medals and Chickens oh my!!!

To cap off the 2022-2023 Season Rowynn Biffart headed to the 2023 Speedo Canadian Swimming Championships held in Toronto at the Pan Am Sports Centre. What an amazing 6 days of racing that had Rowynn qualifying for an A or B final in all 8 of her swims. She was in the A final for 5 of those 8 races, finished top 4 in 4 of them and finished on the podium in 3 of them. At or under numerous best times throughout the week and leaving her hungry to add to the 2 silver and 1 bronze hardware she brought home. She was able to compete and succeed against the country's top 13-14 swimmers and represented Waves and the Medicine Hat Community with an amazing week. I think Rowynn most enjoyed the various chickens that were given to medal winners and if you ask her I believe she has named them all. She may like to share her experience at this meet and how she hopes many others in the community can join her in the near future at them.  Congratulations Rowynn on an amazing meet and an amazing season and we hope you enjoy your brief rest to recover up and tackle some more of your goals in the new season.
