19 Waves swimmers attended Maverick Madness this past weekend. A busy weekend for many, there were some surprising, best times and club records broken.

| 100m Freestyle 8th 1:33.84 25m Backstroke Ellis has been working hard and making it to every practice he can and it showed this weekend with 5 new personal best times. Ellis keeps creeping closer and closer to those Festival Time Standards. Now even closer in his 50 Fly and 100 IM. Great swimming this weekend Ellis! |
| BECKMAN, Dalton – 10, Boys 10 & Under |
| 25m Freestyle This was Dalton’s 2nd meet of the season since AMAC in November and came ready to race. He swam to 6 new personal bests and made 4 finals on Saturday. It was an amazing learning experience. He swam 100 Breast for the first time and achieved his Festival Time!! What an amazing weekend in the pool for Dalton!! Congratulations! |
| DONNELLY, Connor – 11, Boys 11-12 |
| 50m Freestyle 23rd. 44.83 100m Freestyle 31st 1:43.41 Connor worked hard this weekend and got stronger as the weekend progressed. We work on technique in all aspects of his races which he took and applied them. It all came together for his 200 Free and he looked good in the water. Keep up working hard and listening to your coaches. It really paid off Connor. Great work!! |

| 25m Freestyle 12th .24.15 50m Freestyle 10th 46.49 100m Freestyle 21st 1:58.77 25m Backstroke 20th .34.91 50m Backstroke 22nd 1:07.59 25m Breaststroke Huxley turns into a completely different swimmer once that starting buzzer goes off, that competitive side sure does show. He loves to race. He surprised himself by making the 50 FR final on Saturday and got a second swim for the first time. Great weekend Huxley, it was fun having you on deck!! |

| 50m Freestyle 5th 26.71 100m Freestyle 6th 59.02 Kaden had a strong meet, swimming to a best time in his 200 Free and 100 Back. Like many in his group, he is swimming sore and tired but worked on many “little” things such as his pullouts. Good work! |
| MILLER, Jonathan – 15, Boys 15 & Over |
| 50m Freestyle 15th 32.49 100m Freestyle 10th 1:11.19 Jon had a great meet, taking time off in most events and making 2 finals! He is focused on his races, listens to race plans and executes to the best of his ability in each race. In his 200 free, he dropped 8.65 seconds to achieve his first Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Time as well! Awesome! |

| 100m Freestyle 4th 58.25 200m Freestyle Will swam well this weekend, with best times in both his backstroke races. We are in hard training right now, so his times from this meet were good especially considering he swam both tired and sore. Good efforts, Will! |

| 25m Freestyle 21st 31.94 50m Freestyle 29th 1:11.98 100m Freestyle 29th .2:48.78 25m Backstroke 21st40.08 50m Backstroke 25th .1:23.65 Great swimming this weekend Ganon! He always has a smile and you can see he really enjoys being on deck with everyone. He also has been working hard in practice and showing by achieving 4 new personal best times. Biggest drop was in his 50 FR taking a whopping 17.65 seconds off. Nice job Ganon! |

| 50m Freestyle 19th 34.55 100m Freestyle 28th 1:20.13 200m Freestyle 17th 2:53.07 400m Freestyle 5th . 6:04.19 50m Backstroke 22nd 41.80 100m Medley 14th .1:31.03 Quinn had an excellent meet, swimming to many best times and feeling confident in all of her swims. Her 100 IM was a great race because she had fun and dropped 7 seconds! |

| 50m Freestyle 15th 30.19 200m Freestyle 21st .2:39.88 Sophie had several good swims this weekend, with best times in her 50 Fly and 100 IM. She came close in her other races and was tired and sore going into the meet. She always listens to her race plan and comes back with something positive to say! |

| 25m Freestyle 20th .31.53 50m Freestyle 33rd 1:03.27 100m Freestyle 37th .2:33.11 25m Backstroke 12th .28.85 50m Backstroke 30th .1:01.21 100m Backstroke 16th .2:12.23 Sadie had her own cheering section at the meet. Our swimmers rallied behind her and were so loud cheering Miss Sadie!! Sadie has been practicing so hard and put a lot of her new skills and technique into work this meet swimming to 4 new personal bests and a huge drop of 10.15 seconds in her 100 Back! Fantastic job Sadie! |

| 50m Freestyle 41st 40.66 100m Freestyle 53rd 1:36.25 200m Freestyle 36th 3:35.30 400m Freestyle 15th 7:30.48 50m Backstroke 39th 50.48 200m Backstroke 25th 3:45.65 Hadlee had several breakthroughs this weekend. She has worked hard in practice the past couple of months and a 36 second drop in her 400 Free meant she showed herself how strong she is! Way to go Hadlee! |

| 50m Freestyle 15th 31.24 100m Freestyle 21st 1:12.99 200m Freestyle 19th 2:40.41 50m Backstroke 18th 38.36 50m Butterfly 15th 39.17 100m Medley 25th .1:28.97 Lexi, in her second meet with The Waves, took some more time off her events, most notably in her 200 Free where her endurance is showing already. She is having fun with her teammates and is notable for the height of her dives over her competitors already. Great work Lexi. |

She is getting closer and closer to achieving her goal of a provincial trials time. Keep working and it will come! |

Her endurance has really improved this year and it showed in her 200 Free with a 13 second drop. Sydni has come a long way over the past year and she should be really proud of herself! |

| 50m Freestyle 22nd 31.98 100m Freestyle 30th 1:13.72 200m Freestyle 18th .2:38.03 100m Breaststroke 10th 1:27.44 200m Breaststroke 7th 3:02.33 100m Medley 17th 1:21.11 Isa started the meet with a bang in her 50 Free and 200 Breast with 2 best times and nearly making her first champ time, missing it by only 0.33 seconds! Isa is great at listening and responding to technical changes and it paid off this weekend for her. |

| 50m Freestyle 14th 30.45 100m Freestyle 17th 1:10.41 200m Freestyle 18th 2:39.06 50m Backstroke 17th .38.27 50m Breaststroke 18th 41.39 100m Medley 21st .1:19.76 Izzy had a strong meet with several best times and most notably a big drop in her 50 Breast and 100 IM. She has been working hard to develop her speed and that work continues to shine through. Great job. |
| WILLBERG, Olivia – 13, Girls 13-14 |
| 50m Freestyle 31st 33.62 200m Freestyle 23rd .2:42.35 50m Backstroke 29th 38.70 100m Backstroke 25th 1:25.32 200m Backstroke 25th 3:04.42 400m Medley 8th 6:33.21 Olivia had a great weekend of racing, taking 11 seconds from her 400 IM and strong showings in her other races. She made her first Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Time because she turns 14 right away and she has rewarded herself with her hard work! |
