City of Prince Albert Proof of Vaccination for Facility Users
The City of Prince Albert Council passed a policy requring Proof of Vaccination or a Negative COVID test for users aged 12 and older of their facilities, including Frank J. Dunn Pool effective Wednesday, October 13, 2021.
Sharks President Randy Emery shared the following with swimmers and families following the meeting:
We would like to reduce the burden on younger swimmers with a one-time confirmation for fully vaccinated individuals or proof of negative tests as required, and relay to the City. Our plan is to track the vaccine status of registered swimmers 12 and over, by asking to see evidence. We will record that we have confirmed status on paper no information will be stored online in order to preserve privacy considerations.
Acceptable proof of vaccination for the City policy is:
- SHA vaccination card with dates of vaccination;
- Vaccination record from public health;
- SHA QR code;
- Proof of a privately paid negative PCR or antigen test will also be accepted in lieu of proof of vaccination. SHA test results or photos are NOT acceptable. The record must show the patrons name, date and time of test, and negative result. (Details in City release, link included above, where to get these tests done).
The Sharks will have a representative at the pool on Wednesday (Randy Emery - President) and Thursday (Lane Gelhorn - Vice President) to verify your swimmer's status and record it on paper to relay to the City.
Thank you for your cooperation in this situation. Please feel free to contact Randy Emery with any questions or concerns at [email protected]
