Anne Charles of the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club shattered the women’s 30-34 age category provincial record in the 200m backstroke.

The long-standing record of 2:54.24, untouched since 1991, fell after 34 years as Charles powered through the water with a breathtaking time of 2:48.58—surpassing the previous mark by nearly six seconds.
Her dominant performance electrified the crowd and cemented her place among Saskatchewan’s swimming greats.

Competing against top Masters swimmers from across the country, Charles not only broke the provincial record but also showcased the strength of Prince Albert’s swimming program.

The Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club and the entire swimming community are beaming with pride.
With such a commanding performance on the national stage, one thing is clear: Anne Charles is a force to be reckoned with.

Great Job Anne!
