Super Mario Showdown Recap: A Power-Up Performance from ROCS Swimmers

ROCS swimmers levelled up at this year’s Super Mario Showdown, an action-packed intra-club duel that brought energy, excitement, and a touch of classic Nintendo nostalgia to the pool deck. Team Mario and Team Luigi went head-to-head in a friendly but fiercely competitive battle where every heat mattered - and every swimmer had the chance to score big for their team.

The format of the meet encouraged racers of all levels to give their very best. With every heat awarding points, swimmers were motivated to sprint to the finish, climb the leaderboard, and contribute to their team’s overall success. Heat winners were rewarded Mario-style with either a Star Block or Brick Block, adding a fun twist and plenty of smiles throughout the afternoon.

Coaches fully embraced the theme, arriving dressed as beloved characters from across the Mario universe. Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Princess Peach, Daisy, a Boo and Donkey Kong all made appearances on deck, cheering loudly and adding to the playful but competitive environment.
