On April 4 ^th & 5 ^th swimmers from the Richmond Rapids Development program competed in Delta. The team performed very well with a number great swims and personal best times. Leading the way for the Rapids was 10 year old Aleckxeis Aficionado.   Aleckxeis qualified for the BC 10 & under Speedo Swim Stars competition at Provincials Championships this July in Victoria with a outstanding 400 meter Freestyle. Aleckxeis also broke the Rapids 10 & under girls club record in the 50 meter Backstroke! Also qualifying for the BC AAA Provincial Championships was 11 year old Nicole Welsh in the 200 meter Butterfly. On the boys side, 9 year old Kevin Ye had a great competition as well, placing 1 ^st in for his age category in all six of his events.
