In the very next race was Daniella Koretchenko in the 14 year old girls 200 Breaststroke final. In a dominating fashion Daniella won the race in a time of 2:41.19! She won by 5 seconds but even better made her 1st ever Senior National qualifying time! Way to go Dani!!
In the boys 13 year old 100 Butterfly final Nicolaas Dekker rallied from a slow start to come from behind and win the gold in a time of 1:04.78! Pumped up and motivated by Nic, Nathan Muszynski rolled a gutterball and won the gold in the 14 year boys 100 butterfly final in lane 1 with a time of 1:03.13!
In the the last race of the evening for our team, our 13-14 boys medley relay teams battled it out in the 200 medley relay. Displaying the depth that we have in this age group, and the effort these boys have put in together in training together throughout the season, the final result was only fitting... The A team was comprised of Nathan Muszynksi, Jonesy Li, Nic Dekker, & Keegan Smith. The B team was made up of Brandon De Costa, Liam Kell, Jack Hong & Bill Li. Congratulations boys!
Congratulations to all the swimmers on a job well done. A special thanks to our chaperones, Tammy Letts, Gary Orr and John Welsh. With out their help the teams success over the past 5 days would not have been possible. For full results click here.
