This morning at the Mel Zajac International swim meet at UBC, Rapids swimmers set a new 13-14 year old boys provincial and National Age Group Record in the 800 Freestyle Relay!  The team of Bill Li, Nicolaas Dekker, Keegan Smith and Brandon DeCosta swam their way to a time of 8:24.58.  Our boys were able to hold off the UBC Dolphins team comprised of swimmers from Winskill Dolphins and Vancouver Pacific Doplphins to earn the record.  Their time smashed the previous BC & Canadian record of 8:32.82 held by the Vancouver Pacific Dolphins.  Congratulations gentelman and coach Doug on an outstanding acheivement!

This season the Rapids 13-14 year old boys have set BC records in the 200 Medley Relay, 400 & 800 FR Relays (short course) and now the 800 Fr Relay Long Course Record!  Below are the splits for the relay.
