West Coast Aquatics invitational Day 1 Report

 

 

 

 

 

The First Day of the West Coast Aquatics invitational was a huge success for the first wave of the Rapids crew.  With 4 swimmers at Day 1 of the meet we had 8 PB’s, 3 swims moving onto the Semi’s of the 50m Stroke eliminator’s, a new Age Group National time and one new Club Record.

 

Day 1 Itinerary:

5:30AM: Wake up, shower, eat breakfast, finish packing

6:15AM: Drive to Watermania

6:30AM: pile in Rob’s Car and head down to Federal Way

1 pit stop & 3hours & 30min later we arrived

10:00am We checked out the pool…very nice facility, see attached picture

We them headed to the hotel checked in, picked up subway for lunch and headed back to the pool for an 11:30 W.U.

At this point our four Sr. Rapids Swimmers (Kyle B, Jack H, Marissa Y & Claire L) were all are tired, stiff and a little cranky.

But that didn’t prevent them from putting up some impressive in-season results.
