Last weekend at the CDSC New Years Invitational, several Rapids showed major guts despite a tough week in the water, several bouts of illness, and some issues with legal fishkicks. The Rapids really swam into the meet, getting tougher as the weekend progressed.

In addition to Cathy Ye's 200 fly record, Jack Hong broke the team record in the 800 free with a time of 9:06.57. Brandon de Costa dropped three seconds on his 100 breaststroke (1:15.48), qualifying for Age Group Nationals.

Michael Jacak-Sinclair, Kevin Ye, Andrew Hung, Nathan Muszynski, and Kyle Bower also showed they'd been training hard by consistently dropping time and swimming sound races.
