Today at the first day of the BC AA Championships our team showed up and stepped up big time! The prelims saw a number of great swims including 3 new BC AAA Championship qualifiers. Emma Letts, 13, started it off by breaking :30 in the 50 FR to make the standard. Nicole Welsh,13, destroyed her previous best in the 200 Fly to make her AAA cut. Emma then did the same in the 200 Fly as well. Not to be out done, Ada Zhang,12, made the cut dropping 9 seconds off her best. Also swimming well was Arvin Chua and Michael Guo. In the 50 FR, Mike tied two other swimmers to have a swim off. In the swim off Mike dropped 1.4 seconds off his best which he did earlier in the morning to go 28.46! This time was .02 faster than the top qualifier in prelims!

Finals saw our swimmers continue to be very aggressive and successful. Jerry Liu lead the 11-12 boys 200 FR relay with a 29.9 split qualifying him for AAA's as well.
