This year’s Swim-A-Thon was one of the most successful in recent memory. Our team goal was to raise $5,000, and we beat that goal by nearly $2,000!

Because of the overwhelming success of this fundraiser, our club has been able to purchase an iPad with a waterproof case for underwater stroke analysis and video demonstration. The club will also be purchasing an iPad Mini and case in the fall for the same reason. This great training tool has been made available to our coaches because of the Rapids’ huge efforts!

In addition, the club will be purchasing one new starting block with a track-start wedge (as seen in all national level competitions). This will allow our upper level swimmers to hone their starts with this new standard of starting block.

All other prizes are being ordered and will be distributed as soon as possible. Plus, Minoru swimmers will receive a free Rapids cap.

The training group with the largest average submission was PAG2, who raised nearly $1,200 all together. All participating PAG2s will be rewarded with a group movie and popcorn at Silver City Theater.

Our top earner this year was Matthew Crawford of PAG1, who raised $540! All $50+ earners are listed below.
