December Calendar

Nine swimmers will be representing the Waves at the Barrie Trojan Swim Club Trojan Cup on December 12 - 14, we are looking forward to seeing some different competition in the 8 lane, 25 m pool.

The Christmas Party will be on Wednesday, December 17 4:15 - 7:00 pm.  The swimmers will go in the pool from 4:15 - 5:15 pm followed by a Pasta Dinner and Gift exchange.  Please sign up on the Christmas Party event - indicating if the swimmer will be participating in the Kris Kringle and if they will be bringing a plus one to the Pasta Dinner.

Many Wave swimmers will be representing their Secondary Schools on Thursday, December 18 at the City Championships for Secondary Schools - held at the Howard Armstrong Rec Centre.  

We will be taking the holidays off from December 22 to January 2 with practices resuming on January 5.  We will be starting the new Junior Wave session on January 11 with Try-outs on Thursday, January 8 4 - 5 pm. Junior Wave Swimmers continuing into the next session they can swim on January 6 and 8.  Please note that if your child is not continuing in the January session please let us know.  The registration in January is for new swimmers only - participants already swimming do not need to register again.  

In November we had 9 swimmers competing at the first Top Fish Meet at the Howard Armstrong Recreation Centre with 16 personal best times.  The following weekend 16 swimmers enjoyed the Dominique Bouchard Invitational Meet with 58 personal best times!  The swimmers had the chance to meet Olympian Dominique Bouchard at a meet and greet.
