The Valley East Waves Competitive program is divided into five groups based on the hours of training per week. Group 1 trains 5 practices per week plus up to 2 dry-land sessions choosing between the 2 morning practices (Tuesday/Thursday) in addition to Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Adding a morning to the Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings is Group 2– they are also welcome to join in the dry-land sessions. Group 3 trains on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings for 1.5 hours and can participate in dry-land sessions if they are 12 years or older. Our Competitive Intro group is the transition from our Junior Wave program or new to the world of Competitive Swimming. This group trains on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings with two 1 hour practices and one 1.5 hour practice.
All these groups will register as Competitive Swimmers with Swim Ontario and Swim Canada and be eligible to compete at Regional and Provincial level meets.
