SWIM TEAM OF PLACENTIA - Serving swimmers from Placentia. - Yorba Linda - Brea. - Fullerton. - Anaheim and Others

Each year, STOP runs a summer swim league called the Orange County Swim Conference (OCSC).  The league consists of teams from the Orange County area.  The season runs April through July and consists of different types of meets for all levels of swimmers.  Since STOP runs the league, all swim meets are held at Valencia High School.

These meets are specifically designed to introduce competitive swimming to the new swimmer, in a simply, relaxed, format.  At the same time, it is a fun experience for the more advanced swimmers to participate in meets that are more recreational. Regardless, of ability or expereince, all STOP swimmers are encouraged to participate.  At the end of the season, there is a league championship meet which ends of being one of the most exciting meets of the year.

Below is the meet schedule for the 2025 Season.

How Do I Sign up to Register for OCSC?
There are two steps to participate in OCSC.  First, you must sign up to participate in OCSC on the website.  Simply Log in, select "Edit Commitment under the "2025 OCSC PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION", select your swimmer's name, and select "YES, sign swimmer up."  The will allow your swimmer to participate in all OCSC Events.  Cost is a one time charge of $30 for the entire season (except the OCSC Pentathlon).

Signing Up For Specific Meets
Once you sign up to register for OCSC, you will be able to sign up for individual meets.  Meet will become available as the season progresses.  Swimmers are not required to sign up for every meet.

Practice Meets
Practice meets are small meets that run about 2.5 - 3 hours long.  There are 4 meets offered from May through July.  Swimmers may choose up to 3 individual events and have an opportunity to participate in a relay.  The practice meets are just like they sound.  It is an opportunity for our swimmers to practice, participating in a competitive meet.  In other words, it is a practice that is in a meet format.  All STOP swimmers are encouraged to participate in the practice meets.

OCSC Pentathlon
The OCSC Pentathlon is a USA Swimming Sanctioned Meet, for the more advanced swimmers.  Therefore, there is an additional fee to participate.  At this event, swimmers must swim all 5 events (FL, BA, BR, FR, IM), to earn a combined score.  Then, the Top 8 swimmers in each age group are awarded medals.  In addition, there are team trophies for top earning teams.

OCSC Prelims / Championships
The OCSC Finals meet is where all the OCSC swimmers in the conference compete to try and earn a spot in the OCSC Championships held 3 days later.  All swimmers that participate in Finals earns a trophy at the OCSC Pool Party at the end of the summer.  The top 8 swimmers, based on the results of Finals, are then invited to participate in the OCSC Championship Meet.  At this meet, swimmers are awarded medals based on their results.  In addition, team trophies are presented to the Top Teams, included the OCSC Championship Team Trophy.
