May Meet Reviews May competition continued for the AA swimmers in Sydney, Cape Breton. 16 SWAT swimmers from the Senior, Junior, and Novice groups made the journey east to compete. May competition begins with the AAA Swimmers back at Dalplex May 3 and 4. SWAT was represented 17 swimmers: 15 from the Senior groups and 2 Junior Atlantics. The result was 44 best times and 21 new Long Course events. Senior Group swimmers accounted for the bulk of the best times with 40 of 44. Nova Tech #5 Review Miniwaves, Tidalwaves, and Novice swimmers dove back into racing at Nova Tech #5 on April 20. In total 31 swimmers across the three groups competed. AA/AAA LCM Invite April 6 and 7 welcomed SWAT to some sunny days and Spring racing. Unlike years past this meet was Long Course Meters (LCM) for AAA, and for AA swimmers. Winter Championships Season ends with the Eastern Canadian Open in Quebec City. This Junior National event had two SWAT participants this year in its Final rendition before the National Competition Calendar flips to the new SNC format. AA 1 and AAA 1 The older SWAT members got their 2024 racing calendar started with two meets January 26-28. AAA swimmers from Junior and Senior groups raced an interesting Short Course/Long Course format Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Nova Tech 3 Review Racing in 2024 begins! SWAT hosted Nova Tech #3 January 20 at Centennial pool. SWAT also brought its largest team to the third edition of the Central Region Nova Tech competition; being represented by 28 swimmers.
