Hello GTS: 


The deadline to sign up for the GTS travel meet to Arizona (November 22-25) is fast approaching!

Sign-Up Deadline: Friday, October 18, 2024

  • If you haven’t signed up yet, please do so as soon as possible.
  • Once the deadline passes, we will not be able to accommodate late entries or participants.

Travel with the Team

If athletes are not traveling with a parent, they must be on the team’s flights to and from the meet. Exceptions may be made for Senior athletes, but these must be approved by the coaches in advance.

Are Travel Meets Required?

No, travel meets are never mandatory, but they are highly encouraged! They provide a unique opportunity to bond with teammates and experience competitive swimming in new locations.

Billing for Travel Meets

All charges related to the trip (hotel, rental cars, meet fees, team dinners, etc.) will be billed through your Club Greenwood account. A budget outlining expected expenses will be sent to all attendees prior to the meet.

What Should My Swimmer Bring?

Athletes should pack everything they would for a regular swim meet, including:

  • Swimsuits (Pack a backup just in case)
  • Caps
  • Goggles (Multiple Pairs)
  • Towels
  • Team apparel
  • Water bottle

Additionally, swimmers should bring everything needed for a multiple-night stay.

Airport Travel

Parents are responsible for getting their athletes to the airport at the designated time. We will meet at the airline’s check-in area to go through security together.

Booking for Athletes Aged 13-15

If your athlete is 13-15 and the airline requires an adult to accompany them, please contact one of the traveling coaches to obtain their flight details. You can then use this information to book your athlete’s ticket.

What if My Athlete Can’t Attend After Signing Up?

If your athlete is unable to attend after the registration deadline has passed, you will still be responsible for all charges related to the meet. If it is before the registration deadline, no charges will apply.
