Mark Your Calendars for the MACS Invitational
The MACS Invitational is scheduled for October 15-17 at Arapahoe High School.  All MACS families should plan to attend and volunteer to help us run this meet that provides a large portion of our annual financial funding.  With over 600 swimmers participating, we really will need the support of everyone.  For more information on volunteer opportunities for this meet, contact Teresa Brandon at [email protected]

A Note About Autopayment for MACS Fees
Due to the added volunteer hours needed to handle a high volume of personal checks, MACS will be charging an additional $10 per month fee for families who do not use our automatic payment system.  If you have any questions about how to set up automatic payment, please contact Dave Brandon at [email protected]

September Splash Pool Party for New and Returning Families Set for Friday, September 17
Be sure to join us for our September Splash Pool Party on September 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Pier Point.  Fun relays, music, great food (MACS provides the burgers and hot dogs/families provide the rest). MI Sports and K&K apparel will be at Pier Point during the party to take orders for team suits, apparel, and equipment.  See the attached flyer for more details.

Raise Money to Meet Your Fundraising Obligations by Getting Silent Auction Donations or Selling Ads for the MACS Invitational
It’s not too late to get donations for our annual Silent Auction held during the MACS Fall Invitational on October 15-17.  The value of the items sold at the auction will be applied to your fundraising obligations, less a very small portion that will be donated to the Megan Dickey Memorial Fund. Another opportunity is to sell advertisements in the meet program.  All ad sale income will be applied to your fundraising obligations.  Attached are some forms you may wish to use to solicit silent auction donations or program ads.  Questions?  Contact Laura Wood at [email protected]  .

Travel Size Personal Items Needed for Project Homeless Connect
During the month of September, MACS is participating in a community service project to help Project Homeless Connect collect travel size shampoo, toothpaste, soap, and other personal items.  Please place your donations in box by the fireplace at Pier Point.  Eaglecrest swimmers may give their items to their coaches.

Next SCRIP Order To Be Placed on September 23
The next SCRIP will be placed on September 23.  Please place your order and check in the black box at Pier Point by 5:30 p.m. on September 23 or give them to your coach on September 22.  SCRIP order forms are available on the MACS website under the Sponsors/Fundraising tab.  A list of SCRIP retailers is available at www.glscrip.com .  Contact Pam Stoeckle if you have any questions:  [email protected]

It’s Time for Butter Braids and Cookies
Order forms for our butter braid and cookie sale will be passed out this week, so please check your swimmer’s bag if you don’t receive one.  Each butter braid or batch of cookies is $10, with $4 from every item going to your fundraising total.  Cash and checks only, with checks made out to MACS.  These great items are easy to sell and good to have on hand for the holidays!
