We Still Need Help for Our January MACS Meet – Sign Up Today!
Our Winter Invite is this weekend. Volunteers are needed to work as timers for both morning and afternoon sessions on Sunday. Please contact Teresa Brandon if you can volunteer:[email protected] . Large coolers are needed as well. Please bring them to Pier Point by Thursday and be sure to label them with your family’s last name.
MACS families are welcome to park in the back lot that has easy access to the rear pool entrance at Eaglecrest. Please wear your MACS apparel to this meet! Show your MACS Pride! The doors are usually locked but since we will have MACS volunteers working in the area, they can open the door. Timers don't forget to wear your water shoes (or no shoes) and plan to roll up your pants. You will get a little wet. We also need volunteers to help clean up after the meet ends on Sunday afternoon. Many hands make light work!
MACS To Send Five Swimmers to the Midwestern All Star Championships
Congratulations to the MACS swimmers named to the 2011 Colorado All-Star Team, which competes in the Midwestern All Star Championships the weekend of January 14-16 in Lawrence, Kansas. This is a huge accomplishment. The All-Star team is made up of 60 of the top 14 and under swimmers in Colorado and is broken down by the top ten swimmers male and female in the 9-10,11-12,13-14 age groups. Colorado has won this meet since its inception! Way to go Kristyn Bobka (12), Juhan Hong (14), Timmy Martin (14), Jonah Saya (12), and Alex Tarasov (12). SWIM FAST and have a blast!!
Two MACS Raffles Underway Soon
MACS will be doing two raffles. See details below. The raffles will be a moneymaker for the team and help with fundraising obligations, so please participate! More details soon!
· - The MACS Winter Invite raffle will have $2 tickets. Tickets will be sold by the person selling programs at the meet. Half of the sales will go to the team, and half will go to raffle winners.
· - To help families meet fundraising obligations, our second raffle will have tickets prices at $10 each. There will be 20 winners in this raffle. Swimmers will be receiving details and tickets to sell within the next few weeks.
SCRIP Orders Placed January 13 and 27
The next SCRIP orders will be placed on January 13 and 27. Please give your order to your coach by Wednesday, January 12 and 26, or place them in the black box at Pier Point by 5 p.m. on January 13 and 27. Questions? Contact Pam Stoeckle at [email protected] .
MACS Food Drive
Our food drive box at Pier Point is looking pretty empty. We will be collecting food items through the first week in January, so please donate if you can.
