MACS Splash

Timers Still Needed!!

We really hate to nag, but we can't start a meet session without all the timers! We also don't want to have to work the crowd trying to get timers that we should be providing as the HOST team....frankly it is embarrassing for MACS!

We still need:

  • 10 timers for the Saturday Afternoon Session

  • 8 timers for the Sunday Morning Session

  • 10 timers for the Sunday Afternoon Session

We'll gladly welcome and train any family members or friends. This is also a great opportunity for students to get community service hours too! If you have a 10-12 year old swimmer in the am session please consider allowing them to stay to time for the afternoon session. They usually love it! If you have afternoon swimmers please ask them to come to help time in the Sunday am session!  I know it may sound like we are asking a lot of them but swimming is very much a TEAM sport and sometimes they need to step up and help when we can't get enough parents to do so. Remember timing gives you the very best view of the pool too!

Timer's Tips: If you or your swimmer is timing please plan to wear shorts or pants that can be easily rolled up. Wear shoes or sandals that can get wet. Wear any MACS shirt you have!  Bring a water bottle too. As you can see from our pleas above we don't have any extra timers, so unless you have an emergency or another urgent commitment please plan to time for the entire session or find someone to take your place.

Food Donations: Thanks to all of you who have signed up to bring some of the food items! The only item we still need is a Pasta Salad for Sunday lunch.

We apologize in advance if this email sounds harsh or even a little bit desperate but this is our reality.

Thanks in advance for your support. We all know that hosting a large meet with nearly 680 swimmers a month after the swim season starts is a challenge..but I'm sure it will all work out...It always does when everyone helps.

Silent Auction

It is not too late to make a donation for the silent auction. If you would like to donate a gift certificate or have questions about the silent auction please contact Laura Wood at [email protected].

Butter Braids

MACS has historically offered a fundraising opportunity by selling Butter Braids each Fall. We would like to continue this tradition but need a parent volunteer to lead this fundraising program. In past years, $5 from each sale has been credited to the team and your fundraising commitment.

Contact any board member or simply reply to this email if you are interested in leading this program. We would like to begin sales next week and have delivery of the Butter Braids by mid-November.

As one of the top parent run swim clubs, MACS is grateful for our many volunteers. Thank you in advance for helping with the upcoming meet and helping with the fundraising needs of the team. Go MACS!
