Officials Training - Saturday, March 10th at Pier Point
MACS will be hosting a training session for new USA Swimming officials this coming Saturday at 8am. Being an official is a great way to support your swimmer and the team. The team is required to provide officials for our meets and MACS is offering a $100 reimbursement for each official certified.
Here are the details about the training session:
- Saturday, March 10th at 8am
- Location - Pier Point Pool
- Food will be provided for all participants
- Swimmer demonstration is part of the training
Being an official is a great way to be involved in the team and enjoy the swimming from the best seats at the pool. Existing officials say it is a fun job and a great way to meet new friends!
Please RSVP
Email Larry Malik at [email protected] to RSVP for the training session this weekend. Larry is also available if you have any questions about being an official.

Swim-a-thon
Mark your calendars for the MACS Swim-a-thon tentatively planned for Saturday, May 5th at Pier Point. MACS owns its own pool and has a number of maintenance items on the horizon. The board has decided to dedicate half of the funds raised at this year’s Swim-a-thon to the planned replacement of the boiler and pool covers ( click here for more information printed in the Winter Newsletter). Watch your email in early April for more information about the MACS Swim-a-thon.
