MACS Splash: Pier Point Improvements

Pier Point Demo and Clean Up Day

The team needs your help! The board has identified a number of projects around Pier Point that we are going to address this Summer. The boys locker room shower project has already started and will be complete in the next couple of weeks. The carpet will be removed from both locker rooms and the adjacent hallway. In both locker rooms, the lockers will be removed and replaced with shelves and other storage.

Schedule:

Removal of Carpet and Lockers
Saturday, August 18th
9am

Pier Point Clean Up Day
Saturday, August 25th
9am

Please plan to attend at least one of the days to help the team. The work on the 18th will require more manual labor to remove the carpet (scraping, cutting, etc). The lockers are loosely installed but will need to be disassembled (need power drills). We are looking into removal options including recycling the metal from the lockers.

We will have a more detailed list of clean up items for the 25th next week.

We are fortunate to have a facility for the team. Please make arrangements to help out the next couple of weeks.

Important:If you have items in the lockers (some have locks), please come to Pier Point on Saturday morning to collect your belongings. If not opened and cleaned out, the locks will be cut and all items will be stored upstairs at Pier Point until you can pick up your belongings, no later than September 15th.

Future Needs

The team will need the assistance of a number of experts to help with future projects. If you have construction, plumbing, electrical, roofing, or landscaping experience, please reply to this email or contact a Board Member. The team has prioritized a number of items and will be addressing projects over the coming years.
