Help Needed For MACS Winter Invitational Swim Meet

We have 112 MACS swimmers participating in the MACS meet Jan 5 and 6! I certainly realize that everyone is busy right now preparing for the holiday season, but if you could take a minute to sign up for one or more of the volunteer duties  HERE and sign up to donate food  HERE for the coaches and officials it would help to make my season bright and greatly reduce the meet related stress. Since the meet is again divided into 3 sessions each session will be short and painless! Also if you have taken the officials training session early in the season please consider shaddowing another official at this meet so you can get your feet wet!

USA Swimming Club Excellence Awards Announced

MACS has been recognized by USA Swimming's Club Excellence program as a Silver Medal Club! The program recognizes USA Swimming clubs for their commitment to excellence in performance. In addition to recognizing high performing teams, the program provides grant funding for resources that enable clubs to expand and/or enhance the services they already provide to athletes. A total of $360,000 in grant dollars will be distributed to the 100 Gold and Silver-level clubs. Final grant awards will be announced by April 19, 2013. Previous grants have helped MACS purchase new lane lines and pool covers.
