MACS Finishes 10th at 14 and Under State!

Our swimmers made us proud at the Colorado 14 and Under State Championships.  We finished in 10th place out of all of Colorado Swimming.  This was a nice accomplishment for a small-mid size team!  

The following MACS swimmers finished in the Top 10 at the meet:

Jenna Newkirk was State Champion for the 10 and Under Girls in the 100 Back!  She also finished top 10 in the 200 IM (2), 200 Free (3), 50 Back (3), 100 Fly (6), 100 free (8), 50 fly (10)

Kristyn Bobka (14)- 1650 (2), 500 Free (3), 400 IM (8)

Olivia Brenneman (10)- 100 back (5), 200 IM (5)

Riley Hufford (14)- 1650 (10)

Claire Martin (14)- 200 fly (3), 400 IM (3), 200 back (5), 500 free (6), 200 IM (7), 200 back (9)

Jonah Saya (14)- 100 back (2), 200 back (2), 200 free (2), 400 IM (3), 200 IM (3), 100 fly (6), 500 free (7)

Rose Saya (13)- 100 free (5), 1650 (9)

Miller Vu (10)- 50 back (9)

Swimmers placing in consols (11-20) were Kristyn, Olivia, Riley, Claire, Rose, Miller, Matthew Johnson (12), Nathan Leigh (12), Vickie Liu (12), Olivia Morley (14), Chris McAninch (13), Danny Orzescu (14),  Patrick Piwko (12), and Lyssa Wood (12)

Our Relay swimmers also did great and a special thanks to the swimmers who came up just to help out our relays!!!  We hope it was a great experience to be a part of the State Championships.

Boys 14 and Under Medley (Jonah, Chris, Danny, Riley)

Girls 10 and Under Medley (Ellie, Olivia, Jenna, Chloe)

Top 11-20 relays were:

Boys 10 and Under Medley (Miller, Shiva, Nicholas,Zach), Boys 12 and Under Medley and Free (Cobi, Nathan, Patrick, Matthew), Boys 14 and Under Free (same as above), Girls 14 and Under Medley and Free (Kristyn, Claire, Olivia, Allyson, Rose), Girls 10 and under Free (same as above).
