Coaching Staff
With more than 250 years of combined experience, our coaching staff at COSA Swimming is truly best in class. Our coaches have worked with swimmers to achieve Olympic Trials cuts, become NCAA super stars, break age-group records, etc., and our coaches have their own accolades too, including numerous "Coach of the Year" recipients.
Senior Leadership Team
The day-to-day management and decision-making for each COSA Swimming function is handled by the Senior Leadership Team (aka SLT). The members of the SLT are:

Graduate: Clemson University
COSA Swimming: 2021 - present
Coaching: Sean brings over 30 years of swimming experience to COSA. He grew up swimming in North Carolina, where he was a high school swimming state champion and Junior Nationals qualifier. Sean then swam for Clemson University. His primary events for the Tigers were the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 fly. He was a three-year letter winner at Clemson.
After graduation, Coach Sean began his coaching career with the Hartsville YMCA swim team. After a year and half, Coach Sean moved to the Mount Pleasant Swim Club (now the South Carolina Swim Club), where he started as the assistant coach. Shortly after arriving at MPSC, Coach Sean was promoted to head coach. During his four years at the helm, the team grew from 45 to 160 swimmers across all age groups and ability levels. Under Coach Sean, MPSC swimmers won a number of state champions and set multiple state records. Eight of his swimmers competed on the South Carolina Zone team and several went on to swim in college.
Coach Sean took over the Woodmoor Waves in 2018. During his time with the Waves, he grew the team from 65 swimmers to over 100, had a futures qualifier, multiple sectionals qualifiers and sent two swimmers to college to swim Division 1. Since the formation of COSA in 2021, Coach Sean has overseen a number of Junior Nationals, Futures, and Sectional level swimmers - many of whom are now swimming in college.Coach Sean now serves as the Head Coach and runs the State and National groups.
Coach Sean is married to his wife Meg, and they have three boys who swim or have swum with COSA.

Meghan Harder is COSA's Director of Age Group Swimming and Head Age Group Coach/Site Lead for our Air Force Academy location. Meghan has been coaching club swimmers in Colorado Springs since November of 2018, and before that was the assistance coach of the men's and women's swimming team at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. While attending the College of St. Benedict, Meghan started her coaching career by working as a visiting coach at Stanford's summer swim camps.

Originally from Florida Cole Hensley has been with COSA for 3 years working primarily with the silver and gold programs out of the Cheyenne Mountain site. As a lifelong swimmer and with 6+ years of coaching experience across a variety of levels and ages he brings a wealth of experience and energy to the pool deck. Coach Cole grew up in a swimming family and has been in the water his whole life, culminating in a successful D1 swimming career for Florida State University and competing in the 2016 Olympic trials in the 100 butterfly. Leaving Florida state with his masters in Physics he went on to teach at the high school and college level while also working with the swimmers of COSA. After the birth of his son he has stepped into a full time role here with COSA working as the Head Age Group Coach for the Cheyenne Mountain Site. He is a dedicated educator and coach who loves to work with all ages of athletes to cultivate a love for the sport and the disciplined skills needed to be successful on and off the pool deck.
Assistant Coaches
Most of our Assistant Coaches have day jobs but are so passionate about swimming that they choose to spend their spare time on deck, sharing their vast knowledge and experience in swimming with our athletes. Our Assistant Coaches are:
