GROUP DESCRIPTIONS

NOVICE GROUP(S)

Requirements

  • 11/under swimmers  

  • Attend a recommended minimum of two days per week.

Expectations

  • Develop a strong base of stroke technique

  • Limited Yardage- Quality over Quantity

  • Prepare athlete for Junior Group

 

JUNIOR GROUP(S)

Requirements

  • 13/under swimmers

  • Attend a recommended minimum of 3 days per week  

Expectations

  • Build upon stroke technique from Novice Group

  • Quality over Quantity

  • Introduction of time standards

  • Race strategy

  • Prepare athlete for Senior level training

 

SENIOR GROUP(S)

Requirements

  • 13/Over swimmers

  • Attend a recommended minimum of 3-4 days per week 

  • Doubles recommended during High School season 1-2 per week (or a Sunday when offered)

Expectations

  • Continue to maintain focus on stroke technique

  • Quality over Quantity

  • Goal setting

  • Dry Land

  • Nutrition

  • Race Strategy

  • Test Sets

  • Attend Goal Meets
