The Mighty Makos Swim Team provides swimmers with special needs an opportunity to participate in an organized program that promotes improved fitness and social interaction. We see a wide range of abilities in our program, and try to cater to what the swimmers need and can do. Some swimmers need one on one attention to keep them on task, while other swimmers can be led from on deck and work well in a small group. Other than being able to swim 25yds without stopping, there is no formal requirement, and there is no requirement regarding stroke technique.
