WIndsor Water Rats Express Coach Bios

Neil Beaulieu - Head USA Coach - Began swimming in 1980 where he swam for 3 years at Enfield HS.  Coach Neil went on to swim 4 years at CCSU.  During his college years, Coack Neil began coaching during the summer with the Enfield Dolphins Swim Team.  After graduating college in 1987 he became the head coach of the Enfield Dolphin Swim Team.  After 12 years coaching EDST, Coach Neil left Enfield to become the 8 and under coach for WWRX.  After a couple of seasons he took over as the head coach of USA for the WWRX Team where he proudly continues to coach today.  One of the highlights of Coach Neil's career is having the opportunity to coach all 3 of his kids during his 25 years with the club.  When Coach Neil is not coaching he could be found cheering on his 3 kids on as they continue to be involved in swimming.

Nicole Ciccarelli- Head REC Coach and USA Coach - Back in the day, Coach Nicole swam for 12 years, from 6 to 18 years old.  She swam on the Enfield Dolphins where Coach Neil was her coach!  Coach Nicole also swam on Charter OAK Aquatics Club at the end of her swim career.  She debated swimming in college, but chose academics over sports, but if she could go back and change things...she totally wishes she had swam in college. Coach Nicole was always around the pool teaching swim lessons and being an active lifeguard all through college and after.  She was the waterfront director for Camp Ayapo as well. The moment Coach Nciole had kids it was back at the pool for her.  She started coaching at WWRX with being an 8 and under coach when her own kids joined the team.  Coach Nicole has been on the pool deck with WWRX for 6 years now since her own kids have been swimming.  Coach Nicole has also been a USA swim official prior to coaching.  When Coach Nicole is not coaching, you can either find her in her science classroom, in a garden, driving her kids around, or playing with her 3 dogs.

Luke Rotherfield - REC Coach - Coach Luke swam from a young age to 16 in the UK.  Although he was done with swimming at 16, he wasn't done with the pool, because at 14 Coach Luke discovered water polo.  According to Coach Luke, water polo is an awesome sport! He really loves it and had the privilege of playing until he was in his mid 20's.  A few years after that Coach Luke and his family moved to America, and when his eldest daughter was old enough to swim she tried out for the Water Rats.  Given Coach Luke's swim background, he started officiating for the team and then about 3 years ago a spot opened up on the coaching team and he hasn't looked back since. When Coach Luke is not coaching or working, he can be found in the woodshop, or with his family hanging out with their church.

Conner Melley - REC Coach - Coach Connor has been coaching with the WWRX since 2019. He is actually a former WWRX Swimmer who has never strayed too far from the water. Coach Connor enjoys all things water related including swimming, surfing and kayaking with his family. While he now works in healthcare research, he sometimes still finds time to practice his own swimming.
Coach Connor aims to bring his positive and enthusiastic coaching style to our 8 & under crew. He creates a fun and supportive environment where swimmers can learn and grow. He is proud to be a part of our swimming community and is passionate about helping young athletes learn and achieve their goals.

Coach Lindsey - REC Coach -  Coach Lindsey has been in the water for as long as she can remember, always pushing herself to keep up with her two older sisters. Her dedication to swimming led her to compete at the state level in the 100 backstroke and relays. Beyond competitive swimming, she spent 16 years as a lifeguard, even earning the prestigious Red Cross Lifesaving Award for performing CPR in a land emergency. She has also shared her love for the water by teaching swim lessons to all ages and training future lifeguards.

When she’s not on the pool deck, Coach Lindsey is shaping young minds as a second-grade teacher in Windsor. She also runs her own photography business, capturing special moments behind the lens. A true lover of the outdoors, she enjoys spending time at the beach, and fall is her favorite time of year.

Coach Lindsey is thrilled to be part of the Windsor Water Rats Express Swim Team and looks forward to helping swimmers grow in both skill and confidence!
