Douglas Dolphins Autumn Freeze Swim Meet

Twelve members of the Fernley Aquatic Swim Team (FAST) competed at the DDST Autumn Freeze Swim Meet  on Sept. 28-30 in

Minden , Nevada .

Here is a recap of how the Fast swimmers did at the Minden Swim Meet. The meet had approx. 350 athletes attend.

 

Jasmine (Jazz) Schaffer:  13 years old, shaved 5.09 seconds total.  Jasmine ended with five new best times. One of the five was a "BB" time in the 100 free. Jazz achieved a Sierra Nevada State Qualifying time in the 200 Fly. 

 

Mackenzie (Mac) Clark :  9 years old, shaved 10.19 seconds total. Mackenzie ended the meet with 4 new best times. One of the four was not only a "BB" time but a new standard achieved time as well as a Sierra Nevada State Qualifying time in the 100 back.

 

Seth Holderman: 17 years old, shaved a total of  0.84 secs. Seth ended the meet with one new best time out of the three events he completed in the meet. One of the three was a ?BB? time in the 50 free. Seth achieved a Sierra Nevada State Qualifying time in the 200 yd freestyle.

 

Morgan Clark:  6 years old, competed for the first time and made two ?B? times.

 

Makenzie (Kenzie) Peek: 8 years old, shaved a total of 2.92 seconds (Sec.). MaKenzie ended the meet with 3 new best times.

 

Jadan Rotton: 8 years old,  shaved a total of 17.89. He ended the meet with two new best times.

 

Michaela (Mic) Whitfield:   10 years old, shaved 0.3 seconds total.  Michaela ended the meet with 1 new best time.

 

Cheyenne Holderman: 12 years old, competed with 3 no times (NT) established. This was Cheyenne ?s second swim meet.

 

Levi Merlin: 12 years old, shaved a total of 8.61 secs. Levi ended the meet with six new best times.

 

Monique Kennison: 13 years old competed with 7 no times (NT) established.  This was Moniques first swim meet.

 

Cameron Peek: 13 years old, shaved a total of 6.93 secs. Cameron ended the meet with two new best times.

 

Ariana (Ari) Holderman: 15 years old, shaved a total of 24.81 secs. Ari ended the meet with one new best time out of three events she completed in the meet.

 

Fernley Aquatic (Sharks) Swim Team has seven swimmers (in various age groups) who have made the FAST State Team and will be competing in the Sierra Nevada State Championships Scheduled for November 9-12 in Carson City , Nevada . The swimmers are practicing hard, not only making new qualifying times in events they are close in, but acquiring new seeded times for the State Meet.
