FAST- SIERRA NEVADA FALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM

 

         Congratulations to the Fernley Aquatic Swim Team (Fast) swimmers who competed at the Sierra Nevada Fall State Championships on November 9th thru November 12th held in Carson City, NV. The event had 700 swimmers competing.

Meet Results were as follows:

Morgan Miller 14 years old shaved a total of 7.45 seconds and finished the meet with five new best times. One out of the five was a new standard achieved time in the 1000 freestyle. Morgan swam in the finals, the 100 freestyle on Sunday night and the 50 freestyle on Monday night finishing 4th over all on her 50 freestyle and 16th on her 100 freestyle.

Jasmine (Jazz) Schaffer - 13 years old, shaved a total of 16.07 seconds and finished the meet with three new best times. One out of the five was a new standard achieved time in the 200 fly. Jazz missed finals by one spot in her 100 breaststroke.

Seth Holderman - 17 years old shaved a total of .047 seconds finishing with one new best time as well as a new standard achieved time with a new "A" time.

Mackenzie (Mac) Clark - 10 years old, shaved a total of 13.32 seconds and finished the meet with three new best times. Two of the three were "BB" times as well as new standard achieved times in her 100 fly and 200 freestyle. Mac finished 15th in her 100 fly in the 10 & under timed finals.

Michaela (Mic) Whitfield - 10 years old, shaved a total of 8.20 seconds and finished the meet with one new best time. Her time was a "BB" time as well as a new standard achieved time.

Jadan Rotton - 8 years old, shaved a total of 2.15 seconds and finished the meet with three new best times. Jadan finished 6th on his 25 breast and 8th in his 50 breast in the 10 & under timed finals.

Makenzie Peek 8 years old, shaved a total of 2.16 seconds and finished the meet with two new best times. Makenzie finished 4th in her 50 breast, 11th 50 fly, 12th 100 free, 14th 100 Individual Medley, and 16th on her 50 back in the 10 & under timed finals.

They all displayed great sportsmanship, gave superior effort, and were the best they could be. Congratulations FAST swimmers. I am proud of all of you. Coach Lupe’
