USA Swimming is committed to safeguarding all of its members with the welfare of its athlete members as top priority. Safe Sport is USA Swimming’s comprehensive abuse prevention program and provides tools for swim clubs to educate their members and intervene in risky situations

Cooper City Cyclones fully endorses and supports USA Swimming’s Safe Sport and Safety programs by helping to provide these resources for our Cyclones families.

Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) - Efffective June 23rd, 2019:

 

USA Swimming Member clubs are required to implement the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) in full by June 23, 2019. MAAPP contains five sections: one-on-one interactions, travel, social media and electronic communications, locker rooms and changing areas and massage, rubdowns and athletic training modalities. APT Course Requirement

USA Swimming requires all Athletes18 and older to complete the Athlete Protection Training course
as part of MAAP (Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy).

Swimmers who fail to complete the course,
will not be allowed to swim.
