FGC Age Group Championships 2023 Recap As we were all busy with the Founder’s Day parade, the FGC Age Group Championships (formerly Junior Olympics) took place this weekend in Coral Springs. Our Cyclones team was represented by: Constantine Lazarou, Guy Soto, and Ziggy Sweizer in the 10 and under category; and Luca Pichardo, Gabriel Soto, and Jacob Woodrum in the 11-12 category. 5 cyclones walked onto pool deck Sailfish Splash Waterpark in Stuart, Florida this past weekend, ready to give their all at the 4-day long Junior Olympic swim meet. And so they did. From Thursdays to Sunday, our swimmers experienced some of the best races of their lives. Personal best times were appearing every day and among everyone. Some swimmers had the opportunity to represent cyclones at finals, bringing 24 total points to our team. Junior Olympics this past weekend was a victory for our Cooper City Cyclones! Representing the cyclones this weekend was: Skylar Flowers, Carley Kaplan, Aubrey Moen, Gabriel Soto, and Guy Soto. There were a total of 11 best times in prelims and a total of 5 best times at finals! Guy Soto had a phenomenal weekend with two best times in the 50 Free, 50 Fly, 100 Free, and the 50 Back. when you see our competing cyclones again, congratulate them on a victorious weekend. Southern Zone South Sectional Championships, held in Orlando at The Rosen Aquatics Center was a win for Cyclones swimmer Kate Kaplan! Kate swam the 50 Fly, 50 Breaststroke, 100 Breaststroke, and 200 Breaststroke. Kate was successful in receiving best times in all of her breaststroke races! Kate placed 6th in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 33.84 and a drop of 1.73. She also made it back to compete in finals in the 100 Breaststroke, placing 21st and in the 200 Breaststroke, placing 18th. Kate represented the cyclones well...

The BB Swim Meet this past week was a success for the competing cyclones at The South Florida Aquatics Club. Representing the cyclones included: Marie-Elise Baptiste, Skylar Flowers, Kaiemei Grossi, Ke’Koa Grossi, Lucas Hussey, Carley Kaplan, Constantine Lazarou, Mia McDonald, Aubrey Moen, Luca Pichardo, Lorelei Santos, Gabriel Soto, and Guy Soto. All cyclones were victorious in making best times at the meet! They celebrated with an ice cream party after practice. When you see them congratulate them on this accomplishment.
