How do I join?

Try outs are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm at the Wellington Aquatic Complex.  Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke.

What is USA Swimming?

USA Swimming is our national governing body for all competitive swimming within the United States.  All swimmers must be registered with USA swimming for practice and competition.  Click Here to visit USA Swimming.org.

What is the Florida Gold Coast?

The Florida Gold Coast, or FGC is the Local Swimming Committee of South Florida.  They oversee all athletes, coaches, teams, and competitions in South Florida.  Click here to visit FGCSwim.org

Where do we compete?

We compete throughout South Florida, and at our home pool.  A complete list of pools can be found by Clicking Here.

Do we have to travel for swim meets?

As a team, our goal is to attend at least one travel meet a year.  By travel, we mean stay in a hotel for at least one night.  Most meets are local and don't require more than a 30 minute commute to get to the pool from Wellington.

How much are swim meets?

This Varies.  Swim meets typically charge a fee per swimmer, and an additional fee for every event entered.  The greater the level of competition, the higher the meet fee.  it's typically $5.00-7.00 to enter a swimmer, and $2.00-4.00 for every event after that, with higher levels of competition usually charging $9.00-20.00 to enter the swimmer, and $4.00-10.00 for ever event.

How do I sign up for a swim meet?

Sign up for swim meets is easiest through the On Deck app or through our website (you must sign in). Your username and password for both On Deck and the website are the same.  

Once a meet is open for sign ups, often you can select your events and your Coach will approve or modify as appropriate. Please note the registration deadlines for each meet. Please note that the final determination of events for each swimmer is determined by the coach.

How much does it cost to join?

Monthly dues vary depending on the group your swimmer(s) are training with.  A complete schedule of team fees can be found by Clicking Here.

How do I pay monthly dues?

To pay your monthly dues, please see to pool's main office during normal operating hours.  Monthly dues can be paid by Cash, Credit Card, or Check made out to the Village Of Wellington.

You can volunteer with our program by joining our Booster Parent Group and/or by helping out during home swim meets that we host at the Wellington Pool.
