Spartan Swimming Finishes as District 11 Runner Up!

An absolutely tremendous showing by our Spartan Swimming Girls and Boys Teams today at District 11 Championships, where both teams finished with District Runner Up Titles!  

Girls Team – 2^nd out of 12 teams (8^th in 2012; 12^th in 2011; 7^th in 2010)
Boys Team – 2^nd out of 11 teams (8^th in 2012; 7^th in 2011; 6^th in 2010)

Overall, we came home with 87% best times and 14 personal record relay splits!

·         200 Free Relay – 2^nd; Andrea Santander, Amelia Gregorio, Eva Sher, Olivia Katcher

Boys

·         Wiley Watson – 1^st, 50 free; 2^nd, 100 free

·         Alexis Goya – 2^nd, 200 IM; 2^nd, 100 fly

·         Alessandro Marchesani – 2^nd, 100 breast

Swimmers finishing in the top 2 automatically advance to Regionals; then, from the field at large (District 10, District 11 and District 12) the next fastest 18 swimmers advance (individual events) and the next fastest 10 relay teams advance.  The Region 4 Championships Selection Roster will be announced on Sunday, Oct 27, and in addition to athletes mentioned above, we are likely to add several more individual and relay qualifiers to our Regional Champs team.
