Important Info

Dear Aquatics Families-

Whew! It’s hard to believe summer is almost over. Wanted to pass along a few announcements:

  • Great job to Alessandro Marchesani and Gabriella Marchesani for their performances at the recent Florida Gold Coast Junior Olympics. Alesandro made finals in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststrokes (placing 6th, 7th and 8th) while Gabi bettered her times in three of hers, placing 10th in the 50 breast.
  • Best of luck to Alexis “Kiwi” Goya and Demetri Spiliotis this weekend at the Florida Gold Coast Senior Championships in Coral Springs!
  • The Senior/Senior Developmental/Gold practices in the mornings will be starting at 7:30 am from now through next Thursday (July 31).
  • Friday, August 1st the only practice for all groups will be the Friday FUN meet from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This will be the ONLY swim time for the day. Swimmers from any group are welcome to participate.
  • From August 2nd until August 15 Miami Country Day Aquatics swimmers will be on break while our pool undergoes some repairs. We look forward to you coming back excited for a new swim season. Just like in the summer, our swimming programs are open to students
  •  Swimmers who attend Miami Country Day School and are in grades 6th through 12th are eligible to swim on our interscholastic team. The first day of practice for the interscholastic team is Monday, August 11 at 4:00 pm. Please make sure you have forms submitted to the athletic department before your first day of practice. Click >>>here<<< for the forms.
  • Finally, if you have a swimmer in grades 6th-12th who does not attend Miami Country Day, please email me about signing a FHSAA GA6 form in the office. Please pardon the hassle, it is a requirement for us to operate a club team open to students from other schools.
