Happy Holidays!
Dear Spartan Swimming Families,
As the year draws to a close and the holiday season is upon us, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly remarkable and historic 2024 for our swim team. This has been a year filled with milestones, memories, and moments of sheer pride for all of us.
Looking back, it’s hard not to be amazed at the incredible accomplishments we’ve achieved together. From our outstanding performances during the summer Long Course Meters (LCM) season to our record-breaking swims in the Fall and Winter Short Course Yards (SCY) season, this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. We’ve seen new club records set time and time again, showcasing the dedication, hard work, and passion of our swimmers and coaches.
We celebrated a clean sweep at the South Florida Middle School Championships and the FHSAA District 11 Championships, a testament to the strength and depth of our Middle School and Varsity Swim Teams. The determination and teamwork on display during these meets were truly inspiring and will be remembered as defining moments in our program’s history.
Perhaps the most groundbreaking achievement of the year was witnessing our very first MCDA swimmer compete at USA Nationals and the Olympic Trials. This historic milestone is a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, resilience, and the support of an entire team that believes in each other.
As we reflect on these incredible achievements, we also look ahead with great anticipation to what 2025 holds for us. With the same drive and enthusiasm that propelled us through this unforgettable year, I have no doubt that even greater successes await us in the future.
To our swimmers: thank you for your commitment, perseverance, and the spirit you bring to the pool every day. To our families: thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. And to our coaches and staff: thank you for your tireless dedication and belief in what our team can accomplish together.
Wishing each of you a joyful holiday season filled with love, laughter, and time spent with loved ones. Let’s take this opportunity to rest, recharge, and come back stronger and ready to make 2025 another historic year for our swim team.
Happy Holidays, Happy New Year and Go MCDA!
I look forward to seeing you poolside in 2025!
Coach Eric
